I am very impressed with these. The materials are better than expected for flat-pack furniture. Yes, the "wood" is chipboard and MDF, but that's as expected. But they used the right types for the right uses. Some manufacturers don't and the material just can't hold the screws/inserts well. These hold the screws well - as long as you don't go crazy when tightening them.
The big test for me though, are the screws. SOOOO many places use horrible screws that strip is you look at them funny. These are actually good, sturdy screws. I haven't have any of them strip or chew out the head. They also use reasonable steel. It's decently strong and the threaded inserts that are welded into the ends are actually thick and sturdy. I've seen many places that just use sheet metal for these, but these are actually nuts. So you can tighten the bolts (reasonably) without they stripping and they hold well.
It takes a little while to put together (takes me about 2 hours per bookcase but I'm being very careful). Even though I bought an open box unit, there were no scratches or damage that I found. I also like they they gave extra hardware for basically every piece.
It looks really good and the pictures shown are accurate. I am very happy with this purchase and which actually see what this company offers next time I need something.
