Great sturdy bookcase! I had to switch out my first shipment for a second one due to damage during shipping but the call and switch was easy. I am really happy with the finish and sturdiness. I do wish it could have come with darker screws as the bright silver screws pop against the black color. Either way, I am still very pleased and plan to buy storage cubes for the bigger compartments and use the smaller compartments for children’s books. Excellent product!

This bookcase is super heavy. It was pretty easy to assemble. It feels sturdy and it looks to be good quality for particle board. We are very please with this item and can not wait to get it set up in my husbands man cave!

First let me start off by saying that I really do like this bookcase and that it is very sturdy. I like the way the shelves are staggered which I feel adds extra stability to them so that you would be able to place books on the shelves without worrying about them bowing down or sagging from the weight of the books. The color is very black which makes it easy to fit in with any color scheme you may have. But, that being said, it also makes the screws holding it together really stand out as they are very shiny silver. You will see this in one of the pictures I have included in my review. Also, one of the shelves came damaged with a chip out of it. But I was able to work with it as you can have either side be the top or bottom. So I placed the chipped side on the bottom of course. Again, see the picture. It was very easy to put together as the pieces all came out in order of assembly right from the box. It had 4 white plastic feet for the very bottom of it to stand on. (see picture) At first I thought that was pretty flimsy but they do get the job done. All in all I would say that it is a very nice bookcase and I do enjoy it!

Shelf seems cute. Boxes are a good size for displaying various things but due to them being staggered it doesn’t look as boring as a typical shelf. Gave it four stars only because I don’t understand why they used silver screws on a black shelf. They are very noticeable and make it look cheaper than it is. It does seem sturdy easy to put together. Guess I’ll just try painting the screwheads

We were looking for a sturdy bookshelf to hold my husbands DVD collection that wasn't bulky or a normal shelf. This cube bookcase was easy to put together by myself. The quality of the materials was nicer than our old particle board shelving that we used to store the DVDs in. I was impressed! My ONLY complaint which isn't really that big deal is that I do wish the screws were either black, or we were sent black stickers to cover them up for a more seamless look. I think this is a great bookshelf and recommend it!
