Bookshelves look like high quality. The color is nice and we like the herringbone cabinet doors. My 12 year old son assembled the cabinet for us so it’s not terribly complicated but it took him several hours.

The Hawthorne Bookcase is beautiful in my home office. I absolutely love it - perfect fit for my storage needs. Took my husband and I about 3 hours to assemble. We took our time to be sure we did it right! Leveling the doors was a learning curve but once we got the hang of it - it was a snap!

I have to start by saying, this box it comes in is HEAVY when it arrives. Trying to get this in my house by myself was very challenging, but I did it. For assembly, you need two people. Please don’t try this on your own. You need a level surface and time!! I would liken this to an elevated self-assembly experience. The instructions are detailed BUT it would have been easier if there were a QR code to scan that linked to a video to watch. With all of this being said, the cabinet is sturdy, it is exactly as pictured, and it is stunning! Yes, you will need patience and a partner to put it together, but it is worth the cost and the effort. When this is finished, it truly looks like it came from a higher end furniture store and not like you put it together yourself. I love this and feel that it will last for a very long time.
