I consider myself a fairly patient person, but unless you enjoy absolute frustration, this product isn't for you! I bought two of these bookshelves for my office. First, the boxes came practically falling apart and the pieces inside were very dusty/dirty. Second, the instructions leave a lot to the imagination, and were fairly useless; needless to say, I have done a lot of taking apart and redoing aspects because the lack of detail in the instructions. Third, upon almost completing the first bookcase, I finally discovered where the cross pieces used for stabilization go, but with the shelves on, I can't align the bolts with the holes. I constructed the second bookcase differently, adding the crossbars earlier on, but now the bolts don't line up with the holes on the shelves. All around, a lose lose. I like the look of the shelves, and plan to keep them, because it is easier that trying to return them, but whoever designed the construction of them needs to rethink a few aspects.
