This is a newer version of a product that is evidently no longer made. The prior version had a lap drawer and was more of what I wanted, but after waiting 12 - 18 months with no notification once the fictitious (?) availability date came and went several times, I gave up and bought this version. It arrived on time and I had no real problem assembling it with some help from my wife. While waiting for this item to become available I had ordered a few other items from the same line as a workaround. I aim to use some of my extra pieces from those now redundant pieces to modify this piece to be more to my liking.
