For scale, the miniature poodle in the photo is included as my highly qualified measurement assistant. I’m 5’2”, and my feet hang over the end of the sectional. That should tell you just about everything you need to know about the proportions. This is a VERY small, shallow couch and absolutely not what I would consider a comfortable full-size sectional. Also, this couch is not black. I put an actual black blanket in the photo for reference. The couch is much more of a dark slate/charcoal gray—think Apple’s dark gray electronics rather than true black. If you’re specifically purchasing this because you want a black couch, you will be disappointed. As for comfort, it feels cheap. It’s firm, but not in a supportive, structured way—more like inexpensive foam that simply doesn’t have much give or substance. The back is extremely low and offers virtually no support on its own. Realistically, you’re going to need about 6–8 large throw pillows across the back just to make it comfortable enough to lounge on. Overall, everything about it feels scaled down: the depth, the back height, the cushions, and the general presence of the piece. It photographs much more substantial than it actually feels in person. Would I put it in a family room or somewhere I planned to actually relax every night? Absolutely not. Guest room, bonus room, basement, college apartment, or garage? Maybe. For me, this is a garage couch at best. It technically fulfills the legal definition of a couch, but I would not recommend it if you’re looking for something substantial, supportive, genuinely comfortable, or actually black.

This is just what we were looking for! Working out great for us! Our grandkids sleep on it together and think it’s very comfy!
