We got this couch in yellow. I was afraid of stains, yet I am pleasantly surprised about how stain resistant tthe velvet s! The seat is not very deep, and the cushions are pretty firm. However, my spouse is big, and the cushions on his side are getting out of shape after we have had the couch for about 6 month, as you can see in the picture. If you have a big roommate, this couch might not be your best option.

Nice and firm seating. Good seat depth. Could use a bit more finishing on the back, but then no one sees it.
