This chair is average. I was already worried about the exposed silver bolts, and I was right. The manufacturer clearly uses one hardware kit for every color instead of matching screws or recessed holes with caps. On a black chair the bright silver bolts stand out and look cheap. Colored hardware or caps would have easily earned this another star. Assembly is fairly easy if you’ve put a few of these together. There are a lot of long screws. I use an impact driver with a hex bit to drive them, then finish by hand with an Allen wrench so I don’t over-tighten. One slat felt a little loosestripped, but I got it tight enough to feel solid. The last two bolts in the lower back needed a light tap with a hammer because I had to pull the seat in tightly to line them up. The seat is plenty wide and feels sturdy at 200 lbs. The rocker itself is fine. The back slats, though, flex and bow a little when you rock — they’re just not stiff enough. I’ll look at other brands next time if I want something that feels more solid. For the price it’s average. I went in knowing I didn’t like the silver hardware and still ended up a little disappointed.
