The chairs are so heavy you can’t push the recliners in. Very disappointing

The chair arrived right on time and my son assembled it in about 5 minutes. It looks nice and is comfortable. The only problem is lowering the leg rest. It takes a lot of pressure to get the leg rest to snap back into place. I'm not very tall and my knees are not in great shape. I have to lean down and push the leg rest hard with my hands to make it work. I hope this is just because it's new, and that it will improve with use. Has anyone else had trouble with this?

My husband loves it. Love the color. My husband does find it a little hard to put the foot rest down though.
