This whole piece is cursed. Difficult to put together, parts of the front panel do not fit snuggly together and that’s where the mattress goes. Screws didn’t line up with holes. Very wobbly once complete. I’ve sat on park benches more comfortable than the couch. Bed cannot come down if any of the cushions are on the couch. If you are considering buying this bed, get a futon instead. *Note* Customer service over the phone was great. First box came without pistons and while it wasn’t the resolution I wanted, they did their best. Avoid the customer service chat though.
