Solid construction and easy, though time consuming build. The slats for the mattress need to be sanded. Wear gloves when handling. I think I may put something between the slats and the mattress to prevent the slats from snagging the mattress.

We bought this daybed in the cream color and it's very nice. It's constructed well and seems solid! We didn't end up using the hydraulic lift kit only because we didn't want to have the high pressure cartridges for the lift underneath a sleeping area, so we didn't add them when we were building. You simply skip that part during assembly. The storage area is still accessible, it's just heavy to lift up. I recommend this daybed for anyone who is looking for a nice showpiece which is also a bed!
