Love the bed! Pretty easy to put together. My husband completed it in an afternoon. Its very sturdy and great for a teenagers room!

This is the worst piece of furniture we have ever ordered. The pieces are cheap and flimsy. Some are not labeled at all. Some of the hardware was missing and some of the hardware was oversized. We stripped out multiple screws with an allen wrench because they were simply too wide for the pieces they were going into. I had concerns about pieces splitting due to hardware that was too big. The exposed hardware is really off putting but worse is that it doesn't seem to stay tightened. It makes me think it's exposed because you'll constantly need to tighten it up. The design wastes what could be storage space below the headboard and shelf. I love putting things together. This was a nightmare. I spent 2 hours just unboxing and sorting pieces, another hour labeling everything that wasn't labeled. I spent another 6 hours on assembly. Most of the guide holes didn't line up. Many pieces had no guide holes at all, which required great care not to cause splitting on the finished pieces. The worst part is that in the picture it shows a lot of space between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the shelf. This gives the perception that the frame is deep and you may want a taller mattress to prevent a gap that things could fall into. In reality what is pictured must be a mattress topper because there is very little room for a mattress without it obstructing the shelves. We have to return the one we bought and buy a thinner one which I imagine will impact comfort. If my son didn't want to keep this bed we would be returning it. It's an absolute disaster and who knows how we will ever take it apart when we eventually move because so many pieces of hardware are stripped.

Great bed, love the storage and Trundle is perfect for the beach house. The lighting through the shelves is great also.
