I am torn about writing this review. I purchased this unit after a year of looking for a white murphy bed with shelving for my office / spare bedroom. The idea that it included drawers, shelves and lighting really attracted me to the unit. I saw amazing units out there but most went for over 3K so when this one went on sale for 1K with free shipping I jumped on it. I am a long time Wayfair buyer and would say 99% of the time I am happy with the products and thrilled they still offer real person customer support. A rarity in this day and time. However, the unit arrived in three boxes and only provided a diagram booklet for assembly and installation. In 2026 I would have appreciated and expected a assembly video to follow. 10 hours of assembly and installation is the real number and I have the incredible benefit of a GC for a husband! Additionally, the unit arrived with a damaged drawer which fortunately didn't stop us from assembly. You can see the unit in my photo has a drawer missing. To Wayfair's credit they immediately replaced the drawer and in record time. I wanted to share that my vision for the unit will often be just a nice background to my online work which 90 days out of a hundred will be the use I aim for however, if your looking for more than a show piece this may not be it. The unit was very difficult to manage for construction as mentioned and was missing screws, required a large sum of silver metal medallions to hold it together which I find very distracting in the overall appearance. (See included photos)The drawers I was so happy to see included in the unit are so flimsy they really don't function well I cannot imagine the unit would stand up to real life or heavy use in general. I am including a photo of where the drawer stops every time before I force it to shut. Attempts to reset only resulted in it falling off the track. Simply too flimsy for the task. As it requires a separate purchase of a mattress I have not yet attempted to sleep on it however I do NOT believe it to be robust or strong so we shall see how that goes once I have a guest. Note: it does require the weight of a a mattress to hold the unit down which is required for attaching the unit it securely to the wall. We were lucky to have sand bags which held the bed platform down and stopped it form crushing us while we secured it to the wall. VERY difficult and a bit scary. Overall I would say if I had to do it again and real life use was my goal I would purchase a more significant unit at a higher price point with a goal of it being more substantial and an better investment. For my use goals I give it a 7/10
