I chose this upholstered platform bed for an additional guest bedroom that could also provide additional storage space. I really like the beige color of the upholstery because it goes really well with the comforter on the bed. I especially like that the headboard has built in lighting and charging ports for all my devices. The entire bed is very sturdy also.

The bed is okay. It has stitching that’s been rushed, the quality of the building materials are good except the upholstery, and especially the part that goes right behind the pillows. That is a flimsy piece of material with no support and I can see how with time and use it will loosen. It already looks loose which makes the bed look cheap. In real life, the color is a butter yellow (despite the lighting conditions, it’s NOT like the photo). The upholstery is also shiny, not consistent and matte how it appears in photos. It was easy to put together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ModernMate Upholstered Platform BedFrame with extended headboard is a beautiful addition to any bedroom. The process of putting the bed together out of 2 boxes was a tad bit overwhelming at first! After spreading out all the many pieces & reading the directions I was able to compete the task with a little help in about 5 LONG hours!! If you do not have 5 hrs of patience I would definitely pay for it to be assembled for you to save you time & headaches! The bed upon completion for me was well worth it. It's a very solidly made bed & very sturdy. So far it is squeak free with any movement on or in & out the bed. I'll see how this holds up after some use haha. The headboard is extended & covered with very soft chenille upholstery so you can have a great place to comfortably lean back against & watch TV or read a book. The footboard storage drawers give you a nice hiding place for extra blankets or sheets or anything you need to hide away privately. The bed frame has dual-sided LED lights to create beautiful lighting for the bed. Also there are 2 built-in USB/Type -C charging ports so you can charge with ease. The bed design itself adds a very clean & modern look & would be great in the master bedroom or the guest room. It's a very attractive & neutral light beige coloring so it will match just about any decor or flooring you might have in your home. There's no need for a box spring with this bed-frame. It basically consists of a metal frame & a solid wood slat system that holds your mattress directly. The design can support up to 1000 lbs. The days of worn- out box springs are over! The bed is also fully warranted for 1 full year. It retails for around $600 which is quite a deal. I do not think you will be disappointed with the look or functionality of this ModernMate Platform bed. I am so lucky to have been given the opportunity to try this bed -frame by Influenster in exchange for my honest review.
