The upholstered headboard is designed to be attached directly to the wall using Velcro, which means the fabric sits tightly against the wall surface. In my case, this places the fabric directly over an electrical outlet. This creates a potential fire hazard, as fabric covering or pressing against an outlet could increase heat buildup or pose a risk if there is any electrical issue.
This detail was not clearly disclosed in the product description, and it’s something I believe should be explicitly stated so customers can make an informed decision, especially for anyone with outlet placement behind their bed.
I strongly recommend that Wayfair update the product description to clearly warn customers about this setup, or provide alternative installation options that do not involve covering outlets.
It also arrives tightly compressed in packaging, and if you try to return it, Wayfair expects you to get it back into that same compressed state and pay for return shipping.
