Table basse en bois massif brun avec plateau en marbre

Beautiful coffee table and exactly the style I was looking for, but unfortunately both units arrived damaged. The first table arrived broken, and Wayfair customer service was very responsive and quickly sent a replacement. Sadly, the second one also arrived damaged — visible through the box without even opening it — so I decided not to request a third replacement at this point. I do want to highlight that Wayfair’s customer service was excellent and very helpful throughout the process. The issue seems to be with packaging or shipping rather than the product design itself. Disappointed it didn’t work out, but I appreciate how smoothly Wayfair handled the situation.

This table has the potential to be really nice. The wooden base is solid and well made, and the top is a heavy manufactured stone that looks like slate. However, the packaging is completely inadequate for this heavy table. The cardboard is thin and flimsy, and the table was not well protected. When we received this table the first time, the stone top had 3 big chips out of it and was cracked all the way across the middle (see photos). I blamed this damage on FedExs rough handling and reported the issue to Wayfair. They had great customer service, as always, and shipped me a replacement table at no cost. They wanted the broken table returned, so I repackaged it and sent it back, at no cost. The replacement table arrived today, and again, there are 2 huge chunks broken out of the stone top. The thin and flimsy cardboard packaging is simply not enough to protect it in transit. Im giving 2 stars instead of just 1 star, because I think it could be a nice table if it were packaged well enough to arrive in one piece.
