These showed up in a fairly manageable box, and I was prepared for the usual furniture-assembly headache. Surprisingly, both stools were together in less than 10 minutes. The holes lined up, the hardware was clearly packed, and I didn’t have to loosen and redo anything.

The padding is on the firmer side, which I prefer because you don’t sink into it. The backrest isn’t oversized, but it gives enough support that sitting there for a while doesn’t become uncomfortable.
The beige fabric softens the look of the black metal frame and works well in a neutral kitchen. I do expect the fabric to need occasional spot cleaning, especially with children eating nearby, so this probably isn’t the best color for someone who doesn’t want that upkeep. Aside from that, they’ve been easy to live with. They slide out without feeling flimsy, the footrest is positioned well, and there hasn’t been any squeaking or loosening so far.
