These were perfect for my counter height island. Sturdy and well built. We had someone assemble but could have done it ourselves. The gold accents elevate them and they are comfortable. Good purchase.

The chairs are really easy to assemble, very comfy and have the perfect size for a high dinning table or for a kitchen island.

We’re using them at the kitchen island, mostly for quick meals and when someone is working on a laptop. They sit flat without rocking, and the seats are wider than they looked in the listing. The padding is on the firmer side, which I prefer because you don’t sink into it. The backrest isn’t oversized, but it gives enough support that sitting there for a while doesn’t become uncomfortable. The beige fabric softens the look of the black metal frame and works well in a neutral kitchen. I do expect the fabric to need occasional spot cleaning, especially with children eating nearby, so this probably isn’t the best color for someone who doesn’t want that upkeep. Aside from that, they’ve been easy to live with. They slide out without feeling flimsy, the footrest is positioned well, and there hasn’t been any squeaking or loosening so far.
