We wanted something we could place next to the sofa that would also be comfortable to lie on. The perfect bonus is how soft and cozy it is. It completely transformed our living room. We’re extremely happy with it.

I got this to help my senior dog get on and off the bed. I had been using my living room ottoman, which looks very similar (37.4 Modular Sectional Corduroy Sofa, Modern Deep Seat Convertible Sleeper Sofa Bed, Upholstered Ottoman For Living Room by Mercer41), but wanted my living room ottoman back and a color more suited for my bedroom. I made the mistake of assuming this had the same construction, given that they look nearly identical. Nope. The Mercer41 ottoman is a fantastic, sturdy, high density foam which makes you feel very stable. This ottoman is a slim piece of foam on top of very wobbly springs that provide very little support. You can’t sit on this thing and feel steady, it’s constantly feeling like you’re going to fall off or have a spring bust. The only indication of the difference is that materials lists springs, so I don’t feel like that difference was very clear. The crumminess of this product at the same price as the Mercer41 product is laughable. Buy the other one
