Beautiful desk! Very sturdy construction and hand crafted. Putting together was a breeze by adding each leg, which was numbered, to the corresponding numbered corner. It came shipped in two packages. The table top was nicely packaged and protected. The legs were all thrown in one package together, not wrapped. That would be my only complaint, is that they could have been packaged better for shipment. Otherwise, we love this desk and are looking at purchasing the coffee table and end table because we were so impressed with craftsmanship and quality with this piece!

I am disappointed because I was hoping to like this much more than I do. This is a manageable sized writing desk for a bedroom--not too big or small. It was delivered in 2 boxes--the top was in 1 large box and the legs were in a 2nd box. Putting it together was easy--just attach each leg to the top. Extra nuts and washers are included. Each leg is numbered and corresponds to a corner of the table top --consequently it fit perfectly on installation--so I felt that there was excellent quality control. What I didn't like--first of all it was delivered with a scratch on the top. (See picture). Secondly--it just looks fake. The hickory legs are steamed and this makes them look like a plastic plastic imitation. The desk drawer moves in and out smoothly and this is a heavy, study, piece of furniture. I felt like this piece of furniture was more appropriate in a commercial setting like a hotel with a rustic theme or a log cabin rather in a modern home--so my fault for choosing it.

This may be the nicest piece of furniture I’ve ever owned. The details are beautiful. It’s 100 solid hickory wood. The drawer fully extends. This is made by the Amish in PA so that says it all. They always make quality pieces. I love that this will fit in with our Alaska cabin perfectly. I ordered the rustic finish, so the wood grain has a lot of variation. Love it!

Wow is all I can say!! This is a beautifully made desk it is on smaller side and is exactly what we needed. It is made real wood top not partial board. The drawer slides smoothly. It came put together all but the legs.
