I bought this open package or I would probably return it. When it says "natural" it def means natural. This is VERY unfinished rough wood. It states it is finished with an antique oil.... I do not see that. Be careful, you could get a splinter.

Love this piece. It is very light since the table is hollow inside. I’m looking to put some sort of finish on the wood to protect from water spots.
