The bench arrived with stains on the fabric, and seems to have been assembled poorly. The leg part on one side is crooked, and it’s a full inch shorter than advertised. We also had not considered that the hinge placement inside really cuts in to the storage space, and we worry the hinges might stain any linens placed in the bench.

Love this storage bench! The fabric looks beautiful, it’s comfortable to sit on, and the hidden storage is surprisingly spacious. The soft-close lid is a great feature and makes it feel more high-end. It’s perfect for storing extra sheets and towels while keeping everything neatly tucked away. It was the perfect addition to my bedroom and adds both function and style. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and substantial piece. I’m very happy with my purchase. If storage capacity is a major consideration, just be aware that the arms of the soft-close hinge mechanism extend into the storage area and reduce the usable space. I had a down comforter stored inside, so this wasn’t an issue for me. However, if you plan to store items with a fixed or rigid shape, you may find the reduced space to be a problem. Also, keep in mind that the rounded corners take up some of the interior storage space, so the usable capacity is slightly less than you might expect from the overall dimensions.

This gorgeous bench by MarthaStewart is classy and functional. It holds my two large decorative shams and is perfect height for putting on my tennis shoes for my morning walk. Love this. .
