Just hard enough not to be boring but easy enough for an 8-year-old to do plus they learn at the same time

This is a very fun, sturdy puzzle. We will be able to use it for many years. There are many learning opportunities to take advantage of while constructing this puzzle as well!

It was better than expected. My 7 year old grandson put it together and loved picking out the states he has been in . A great way to teach children geography.

Some of the states are not shaped correctly! I'm not sure how you all even thought these shapes were acceptable! Just terrible!

This map is not an accurate representation of state shapes, particularly the delmarva peninsula, which encompasses delaware maryland and Virginia. Delawares shape and placement is completely wrong. My kids were disappointed to see their state so poorly portrayed.

My 4-year-old granddaughter is still trying to understand about maps, Alaska and Hawaii. She likes the puzzle but needs to grow into it a bit more. Her 6-yr old sister got it put together quickly. It is a big set of nicely-printed on heavy cardboard, 50 states, with enough bright blue ocean around to help set up the perimeter. It comes in a nice strong box, easy to throw everything in, put the top on it and shelve it. The pieces are big -- California is as long as my forearm, inner elbow to inner wrist. The pieces are brightly, primary-colored with state name, one (capital) city, and one picture of special state attribute. ( By second grade kids will be able to read state names and maybe quiz each other on state icons.) Texas and California get two. Vermont to Connecticut haven't room of aught but capital city. Utah is a skier and Nevada has a snake despite some of the most spectacular rock formations and gorges but, hey. It is a perfect beginner USA puzzle, and it is 3' x 2' -- big. It will last and the pieces have a good chance of staying together in that strong box. It is a very quiet toy. See if the adults can do it first, or the kids will lose interest.
