The stool arrived quickly. While online the hairpin legs looked like a gold finish, they were really a strange yellow paint color, not metallic gold or brass. In the photo, you can see how they compare to the one I spray painted with an antique gold metallic paint.  The fabric is actually a bit more furry than I hoped but it will be super easy to reupholster and I happen to have a piece of fabric that will make it perfect. One of the leveling feet, was bent and I emailed customer service for replacement from the info on the assembly manual. They sent the replacement in a timely manner. Assembly is simply installing the legs. To fit at the desk I have it really needs to be about a full 1 in taller but it would be great for a child or teen desk.
