Easy to assemble. Might look intimidating at first but it was simple. This would look much better if the shelves were black. The photos look black and that’s why I impulse bought it. My bad for not reading description. Overall it looks good and I might spray paint the shelves.

Like someone else said, the shelves look black in the picture but are actually a brown wood. That's fine, but be warned. What isn't fine is that the shelves arrived with scuffs and paint dents in the metal (the metal is painted electrostatically, and it looks like before it was done drying it got scuffed). We ordered two bookshelves, one leans very much to the right (bookshelf on the left in the pic of both) while the other is straight. It comes with ties to attach to the wall, they're literally zip ties. Finally, there are stickers EVERYWHERE that are an absolute pain to get off. You know those stickers where you keep scraping and scraping with your nail while simultaneously cursing the evil person who put them there? Yeah, these are them. These shelves are way too expensive for this type of poor craftsmanship and zip ties!

Picture is deceptive because the shelves look dark, but they are actual a fake brown wood color. Very fiddly to assemble!

I bought two of these for my sports obsessed husband’s man cave. They look great and are very sturdy. The price is definitely right as similar ones I found in stores were triple they price.
