Exactly what we were looking for. Applied a white wash stain to protect it. It looks orange in our pictures but that's because of the reflection of our orange floors. Without adding a sealant, I'd be worried of stains from regular use.

The quality of this bookcase is excellent. My only regret is the fact that Rubber wood is challenging to finish. Actually it is worse than that. I'll just prime and paint and that will cost me another $50/$60.

Easy to put together and after applying my own stain and polyurethane, the unit looks very nice. Just a bit shallow for textbooks. The fixed shelves/pre-drilled holes don’t allow for tall book storage.

Unusually sturdy, simple and attractive.

Horrendous assembly. The problem is the "adjustable" shelves. There is little to no space to maneuver to get the screwdriver in to the tight corners. It is nearly impossible. I used a screwdriver, a drill/driver and a ratcheting screwdriver, and I barely got it the screws in and some are not in well. It was awfully stressful. The instructions say only a manual screwdriver is needed. I have no idea how this is accurate. I also needed to drill pilot holes into the wood before screwing in the screws. The middle back piece assembly could have been made easier if they provided a centerline on the back piece. Also, the back piece is flimsy. The rest of the unit is constructed well. Even so, given the horrible assembly, I will not order from them again.
