Beautiful desk, very sturdy

This desk is absolutely gorgeous. My “desk” career was abruptly halted due to a catastrophic illness. We created a standing desk, bed desk… whatever. My writing space was as bleak as a Soviet winter. But then, this. This desk. It’s gorgeous without feeling pretentious. It is handsome without taking up space. It summoned my muse again. It’s a stunning piece. Indulge yourself and open your voice by getting one.

I really like it. If Wayfair allowed half stars, I might give it 4.5. The desk is a little bit awkwardly tall. I think I may cut about 2 inches off the bottom of the legs using a table saw. When I have a normal office chair at the highest setting, my arms are still angled upward in order to type on the keyboard. The other thing is that the legs aren’t completely even. It looks fine visually, but when I push it against the wall, I can tell that the legs are further toward the wall on one side, because the gap between the desk and the wall is uneven. You can adjust the evenness of the legs because there’s sort of a long slot where you screw it in, but I’ve got the legs on both extremes of the slot, and it still isn’t enough to prevent the unevenness. Aside from that, it looks great and it’s nicely made.
