Mine came scuffed, and I received a replacement. That said, the thing absolutely REEKS. I tried to use it but couldn’t.

I love these simple nightstands. Attractive. Easy to mount. Sturdy. And the fit nicely in tight places. Now I have nightstands that don’t coverblock the floor vents.

The good: They are a beautiful chestnut color. Description, size and color from the website are accurate. They are solid wood and are sturdy. The bad: - Some joints/corners have not been sanded down as well as others. In these areas the lacquer is either missing or hasn't been applied correctly creating 'bald spots'. - The drawer slides are wood, not metal. So the drawers don't slide smoothly or have soft close or anything like that. Drawers are rough when you push them in or pull them out. - Hanging hardware was inadequate. Basic drywall anchors for a table that will have to support a lamp, water, books, etc? The shear force would eventually tear the drywall out. We replaced the basic drywall anchors with higher rated self drilling anchors, and installed a wood cleat underneath that we drilled into the wall studs and to the bottom of the table.

This piece is very well built. It’s perfect as a nightstand for the mattress on the floor in my loft.

Returned due to discoloration and horrendous smell
