The negative The quality is less than it appeared on the listing, and the color is definitely darker which was a disappointment and made me anxious about whether or not we should attempt to return it. Underneath the tabletop, you can see it’s a low quality maybe plywood type material that was haphazardly painted black and uses an excess of glue and drilled screws for assembly. One of the 4 inch bracing pieces was dislodged, but I am thinking we can easily repair that ourselves with a drill or wood glue. The positive it really is a beautiful table, and I think we will keep it. Without the leaf, it’s still big and beautiful. With the leaf, it’ll be great (in a bigger space) for larger groups of guests to eat with us. I do wish it was the lighter color, but I think I’ll get over that!

The color is rich! The table is sturdy and very well made.

Such a great quality and beautiful table

The good things about this table are that it's good looking, sturdy and appears to be well built for the price. The not so good points are that there is a wide panel around the table where the wood is a little soft and had damage that gave me a splinter during unpacking and assembly. I'm going to have to figure out a way to smooth that edge to make sure we/my guests don't get splinters when sitting at the table. Note, too, that the table is 31 inches tall - our last table was 30 inches, so our chairs are a little short now for this table. :(
