This bed looks exactly like it does in the photo. Beautiful! The velvet is really plush and the frame is quite sturdy. Assembly was easy and took my husband and I less than an hour to assemble. I'm only giving it four stars because of a fairly sizeable gap between the mattress and the frame. Other people have pointed this out, so I was aware, but the gap is wider than I had expected. I like the bed enough that I'm willing to live with that one flaw, but do be aware, it's not a snug fit.

I love this bed. One thing they don’t tell you in the description is that the fabric is VELVET! To me this was a pleasant surprise but may be a bit much for others. I am a petite woman and was able to assemble the bed on my own in about two hours. It is a bit higher profile than it appears in the photo but works for me. I would not recommend anything higher than a 12” mattress. Overall the bed seems sturdy and looks fabulous. I’m very happy with my purchase.
