Bought the teal color. Amazing, I love my room because of it.

My pictures do not do this bed justice. It is very pretty in person. The velvet is a soft pale pink that would transition well with a growing child. The bed was easy to assemble and feels very sturdy. A boxspring or thin bunkie board ARE needed. I love how it packages all up in the headboard too. We didn't like the overall height of the headboard so we ended up shortening it quite a bit. I don't know why the manufacturer doesn't do this. Adding a few height options would be so easy for them. The process is relatively simple if you wanted to do it though. Overall - we are very happy with this bed.

Very cheaply made. The pink shade looks dirty.

As the other reviews said, you’ll need a box spring. I bought the bed for a room with a very low ceiling so I actually cut the legs to lower the headboard so that a box spring wasn’t needed. In doing so I needed to order slats but it was worth it to get the bed frame I wanted and have it sit so low to the ground.
