The material is beautiful. I got the taupe and i was worried it would be too orange or brown, but it's perfect. However, it is hard as a rock. Definitely not to be used as a seat itself. Under the material, you can feel the wood seams on the sides and a very thin padding on top. Its probably a wood box under with a bit of fabric to cover it. The opposite of a pouf.

The ottoman was very hard and the color was more cream than white.

Amazing ottoman. Was perfect for my living room. Color was exactly what I’m looking for. Quality feels great for the price. Sturdy and comfortable. Would recommend for smaller places where you can use at a coffee table too.
