This table is Modernist perfection! It doesn't just look cool and minimal, it follows the dictum, form follows function, to a t. You will not find an easier table of this diameter to sit at comfortably. Typically the base is under your feet, or the top is right at your knees (I have long legs) and they're always a compromise to sit at (I worked at Copenhagen Imports, so I've experienced lots of tables). This table is a joy to sit at. The base is super sturdy while having the smallest footprint possible, making it very easy to place your feet under the table without restriction - the clover shaped base helps here, just a great, simple design. The scooped bowl top adds incredible stability while getting the whole top out of your way as you sit, and then stand. I got it in black to match my black leather Cattelan Italia Kelley XL swivel chairs. I was living in a Phoenix townhouse, but now I'm in rural Maine and it's serious Green Acres vibes here! It's now living a harder life right next to my chest full of chicken supplies. However, the slightly textured matte surface is very durable and easy to touch up with a black marker if you bump up the edge or slightly mar it. You will not find a better Modern 39" pedestal table, it checks every box!

Great table just be aware of the texture when buying it has a cement like finish not smooth finish. Otherwise was perfect size for my small dining room area! I believe can fit up to 4 people
