It was really quick to assemble. It took us maybe 10 to 15 minutes and that is with toddler help! It comes with the tools needed, including a little screwdriver. The cushion on top is soft, but still nice and firm and wipeable! Which is great because it’s covered in greasy baby fingerprints already! The hinges seem good quality and they lock in place to hold the lid up so it’s not falling down on you. The bench is a little smaller in person but still very nice and great for storage either in the entryway or even as a kids’ toy box.

This is a nice quality storage bench. We like the added cushioned seat, its firm but it works. We are using it as a toy box right now and it has plenty of space. It is well made and sturdy, it should last a while. Only think I'm concerned about is it's not soft close so when you close the bench it slams shut unless you gently put it down.
