Came damaged. The wood was split and laminate stripped. The color is very white - almost like primer. The wood is curved in the back, and the tape provided to seal the back parts is not sticky.

This bookcase is a lot sturdier and heavier than I expected! MDF panels but still very heavy and weighted. It was easy to put together and just as shown. The extra storage with doors is excellent for an office. Overall very pleased with product based on the price point and knowing it is not solid wood construction.
