I cannot recommend this chair enough. Firm but comfortable, I spend many an afternoon reading, watching TV, or having guests over. We recently just got kittens, and their claws seem to have no effect on the fabric! The only caution is the little lips of metal between the legs and the base frame for that nice little curve look are extremely thin pieces of metal and are so sharp. Otherwise I still give this chair a five star because it is not like I am grabbing the chair from underneath!

Large and comfortable but should pile up a chunky back pillow since seat is so deep
