My delivery experience was anything but "white glove." The delivery team arrived and was greeted by my husband. I want to clarify that the table was a surprise gift from me. The delivery driver lied to him, claiming that I had said it was okay for them to simply drop off the package, which was far from the truth. When I pulled up at the end of my driveway, I noticed the delivery truck and saw the drivers making their way back to their vehicle, as if they were trying to leave quickly. I asked one of the drivers if they had finished setting things up, and he replied that they had. Knowing my husband rarely has cash, I tipped the driver $30. However, when I walked down my driveway, I discovered that they hadn't even opened the packages. To my dismay, I found out that they had also taken a $25 Cash App payment from my husband. It was clear that these drivers were deceiving cons who knew there would be repercussions from Wayfair. I immediately called the driver’s cell number that had contacted me before arrival, but they didn’t answer. I also reached out to Wayfair, and while the representative was very nice and understanding, it’s outrageous that the delivery manager wouldn’t even send them back. Wayfair really dropped the ball and lost a customer in the process! I refuse to spend my money and be treated poorly. There’s more to this situation, but it’s too much to type out right now. The table is decent, with some issues that I hope can be resolved, but the communication issues, and underhand practices have to stop.
