Leather seems pretty fair, overall construction is solid. Minimal assembly. Pet peeve is that for the price both cushions are only leather on one side, so if you want to rotate for cushion copression or wear, no bueno. This is especially a challenge on the upper which from the angle of the back is compressed a bit

These were more substantial than I expected and were surprisingly comfortable. I wanted a short chair that wouldn’t block a fireplace but I’ve even found my tall husband lounging in them
