Unlike less expensive and lighter barstools, these barstools are very weighty and sturdy because of their stainless steel bases. They were very well-packed in their shipping boxes and easy to assemble (just upend the seats over their individual packing box and screw on the bases easily that way - just need another person to hold them steady!) The faux leather is smooth and tightly-grained - very easy to clean and wipe down. Love the modern lines of the barstool design and guests delight in the effortless swivel action. These barstools are totally worth their price!
