It works for what I needed. I needed shelving to put in the garage to store my plants inside with a grow light for the winter. It took quite a while to put together. Lots of pieces. The second time worked on it, I used a rubber mallet bc it worked better than the plastic hammer that came with the set. The little tools that came with it will not be of use for me, but would be fun for a choose to use. USE the gloves! The stain comes off on your hands.

I recently purchased the 14 Grid Solid Wood Shelf Plant Display Stand and I could not be happier with it. As a woman in my mid fifties from Ohio who enjoys keeping plants both indoors and out, this shelf has truly brightened my space. The quality of the wood is impressive and it feels sturdy and well made. I was pleasantly surprised by how much it can hold without wobbling or leaning. The natural wood color looks beautiful in my sunroom and it really brings out the green of my plants. The assembly was easier than I expected. I took my time and followed the instructions step by step and everything fit together perfectly. Once I set it up and placed my plants on each level, I stood back and honestly smiled. It turned an ordinary corner into a cheerful display that feels like a little indoor garden. The design gives each plant plenty of room to grow and the multiple levels make it easy to water and rearrange them. The value for the price is outstanding and I am already thinking about getting another one for my daughter who loves plants as much as I do. This shelf is practical, attractive, and a joy to look at every day.

This was a nightmare to assemble. I was really pleased with the color and sturdiness after assembly, but nothing was labeled. The first step required the small pieces to connect to the t shaped joints and the joining pieces were too short. This was confusing and requires really hammering the pieces in. This created stability but Th is was an exercise of patience

I love the look of this item. I’m looking forward to seeing how I hold up under the weather. When I first opened the box all of the pieces were a little intimidating, but it’s really not so bad once you get going. Tips: Construct it on a surface that is dark or you don’t mind getting dirty. There is something on the wood that smears a black substance. The company provides gloves to protect your hands. MAKE SURE you pay strict attention to the pictures and that your version looks JUST like the pictures do. I’d advise you not to bang them fully into place until you’re sure. If you put them in the wrong way, they are hard to get apart and the force to separate them could damage the wood. The space isn’t super large so they’re good for small to medium sized plants. And the wood itself is pretty light weight. Not necessarily a bad thing. Overall I’m happy with it.

This shelf was easy to put together. I still haven’t decided on where I want to put this but it feels fairly study. I may use it as a room divider or outdoors to place plants on. I may even keep it as is.
