So glad I got this wonderful bench! I’d been eyeing it for a while and am really happy I finally ordered it! It’s made out of very sturdy, nice (real!) wood, has beautiful lines, and is super functional. I wish I had a mudroom or entry to put it in, but I ordered it for my husband’s closet. The old shoe rack he had was small and flimsy and we’ve done some upgrades to the closet decor. It won’t get much sitting on in this location, but the seat is great, nonetheless. It was well-packaged and required full assembly, but the instructions were mostly clear and it didn’t take very long by myself. There were a couple steps that didn’t indicate well which direction the board should go, but I used some common sense and made educated guesses (which were correct), but other than that, good instructions - just look at assembly pictures very closely. I love the wood - it’s a beautiful warm, cinnamon tone and very smooth on all sides, heavy and well finished. All the hardware was really good too - strong and more than adequate for holding everything together with no wobbling, nor any difficulty lining up holes. The construction is thoughtfully designed and it ended up being a very solid piece. The narrow cubby has a moveable shelf; the long shelves are stationary, but the right size for men’s sneakers and casual shoes. He keeps his dress shoes on a built-in closet shelf, but those would fit fine in this shoe bench as well. One end has modern, simple hooks and the other end has an open rack (like a magazine rack), good for flip flops, umbrellas, etc. Once assembled, you can turn the bench either direction to chose which end is on your right or left (no designated front or back). The PU leather seat has rubberized nonslip backing, but I probably won’t use it (under a closet shelf), and the wood is too beautiful to cover up! I put 12 pairs of shoes and flip flops, and there’s room for at least 3 more, plus shoe accessories. Fantastic and highly functional, beautiful storage piece!

Hurrah, a well designed and quality Piece of furniture! This is a classy entryway bench with shoe storage, a place for umbrellas and hanging bags or purses. It also comes with a nonslip faux leather pad for the bench seat. Tip, it is easier to assemble with two people. I was also pleased that the screws and bolts were of good quality as well. Moreover, directions were easy to follow. It’s a keeper!!

The solid wood bench is lovely. It holds about 12 pairs of shoes, magazines and hanging items. I like the fact that it is tall and wide enough for two people to sit on without squatting. This comes in handy with kids as a landing spot for putting on shoes and bookbookbag storage.
