The end caps were two narrow causing the backing to pop and the screw in the top to break through the side. Wayfair was willing to send me new end caps and I sent pictures showing the damage. It has been a month and the new parts have still not arrived, even with several interactions with Wayfair. They promised they would come and I'm waiting for the second time with fingers crossed.
