Red Barrel Studio's Lumbar Pillow is wide enough to put on a daybed so you aren't trying to make yourself comfortable with a bunch of throw pillows. The back support Armrest actually works with Red Barrel Studio's storage ottoman to keep the pillow on the ottoman to make a chair when it is not against the wall. Very innovative concept and so comfortable. Extremely well made feels good because it is supporting my back encouraging proper posture and I can actually sit with my feet on the floor.The kids also use the lumbar pillow on the floor to play video games in comfort.Pros: More than just a pillow - Made in America with quality materials and workmanship

If you purchased the storage ottoman, perhaps two of them like I did and wanted one to act as a chair or made into a chase lounger than adding this cushion and back Support portion is needed. I purchased the ottoman first to act as a regular storage ottoman. I then decided to add a second one with the Armrest. I was disappointed that it the Backrest portion was a separate add on when purchase the chair (Ottoman and Armrest), but I did find it was necessary as the armrest cushion would simply fall to the ground. The back support is also nice to act as a head board when used as bed. Pros: Turns Ottoman into chair or two ottomans into a chase, well constructed, easy to attach back support Cons: Back Support sold serarately from chair (with armrest)

Just added this 2 my TWIN/Ottoman and the ease at which it atraches is phenomenal. Not just simple but the added comfort to my existing pieces is even more comfortable! It only gets better as this unit seems to be growing with me as my needs change. Very excited to own more accessories to my ottomans/single bed/chaise/storage sofa! For yrs to come-WOW!

Purchased with Red Barrel Studio ottomans and cushions. I have used as a headrest when the Red Barrel Studio ottomans are utilized as a bed. I also have used as a back to the Red Barrel Studio ottoman, when configured as a sofa, as well as an armrest. Excellent design and concept!
