These chairs are okay but I bought the dark brown and it is absolutely black. It even seems like it was painted black and had a smell to it for several days after arrival. I didnt want to pay for return shipping so I kept them and I might turn them into a project but the dark brown is black! Google

The chairs are beautiful and sturdy. They took a bit of time to put together and the tools required were a bit awkward. I would ablsolutely order again!
