Very well built and well padded chair! Love how simple it is to change from bar stool to side chair! Very comfortable in both settings!

It is not very stable when put in the bar stool position. And be aware that you'll have to push the chair in via the wood, since pushing the upholstered part begins the transformation into the other height of the seat. Also, the wood is easily scratched. Mine seems to have been a return (previously opened) and has several scratches on the wood areas.

This is a really neat chair....neat conversation piece...goes from a chair, to a bar stool with a few simple moves... Everyone loves to see it change back and forth....and to change it themselves...so easy...so cool !!! Worth getting one....beautiful and interesting!! (1st pic is bar stool...then dining chair)

This chair design is very unique. I was a bit nervous to have to build this and was so happy to see it completely put together and ready to use, right out of the box. I like the deep stain on the solid wood and the dark fabric color combo. The cushion is firm and comfortable. Changing the seat from low to high is a bit stiff at first but It does seem stable when locked in place. I would highly recommend this item for someone looking for both height options in a single chair to conserve space.
