Received four of these chairs on time, as promised. The assembly was complicated by the fact that there are several places you have to put in long bolts but there is no room for fingers or to turn the allen key. We tried several different tools that we had to make this easier, but it was a long process. We also found that many places do not have pre-drilled holes, so you really need some strength to get them put together. In hindsight, it would have been beneficial to purchase the assembly service for these chairs!
The good part about doing the assembly ourselves is that we are convinced that the quality of the chairs is very high and the expected durability will be good. The wood is solid and a beautiful rich brown colour. The cushions are pretty comfortable although not very thick so it will be interesting to see how long that continues. One of the key selling points of these chairs was the durability and weight capacity, so we'll see how they hold up to our heavy people.
These chairs are very low, so they tuck nicely under our dining table, making the room appear larger and leaving lots of room around the table, which is nice. Only had them a few days, but so far they are very good & look great!
