Purchased for my father-in-law. He is very tall it was able to get him to a standing position easily. Not for extremely short people like me only 5 feet tall.

i bought this for my husband. Everything is good with this chair, but it lifted too high for him. he could easily slide out of the chair onto the floor. I had to watch him closely or do it for him. He had mobility issues.

Beware that this is not a true recliner. It is built to lay you flat on your back for sleeping or napping, not for sitting up with an elevated leg rest like a true recliner. This is as far back as anyone could be in a recliner to comfortably sit upright and yet the leg rest still barely brought my feet off the floor. They referred to this position as “TV watching position“. It was actually very uncomfortable, the feeling of my feet hanging at such a strange angle of the end Had to return it right away as it’s unusable as a true recliner.

I think when a person says they are disabled and pays to have a pc of furniture installed, the recliner should not be left out in the driveway in a box for the evening and night when it's supposed to rain. BTW, it was delivered hours later than the noticed promised and not even a doorbell rang. And the footrest won't come up unless I am lying down
