This is a good sturdy recliner. My husband sits in it and he weighs 240 pounds. He might be having hip replacement surgery so the lift on it will work great to assist him when getting up out of the chair. When reclining my feet do hang off of the end. Shorter people may be able to be more comfortable. I am 5 foot seven. I love the button tufting on the back of the recliner. Great chair for the money. I recommend it.
