Great bed, but be patient while assembling. Take your time. Youll definitely need more than 1 person. Another reviewer said to make sure you assemble in the room you want the bed... he was right. The packages arrived beat up. Thankfully there was no damage. Regarding the bed itself, the horizontal opening seems safereasier to open for a shorter person. The only challenge is stopping midway down to unfold the feet. I also wish there were more than 5 slats under the mattress. We added a few more, ourselves. Just to make sure it had more support. Otherwise no complaints.
