The table arrived visibly covered in mold and was an immediate health hazard. Wayfair did issue a refund, but that is where the resolution ended. I was promised a 1–3 day follow-up email to schedule pickup of the contaminated table. It has now been over a month, and despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no pickup, no scheduling, and no actual resolution. I was told to “dispose of it,” however this is a large mold-contaminated piece of furniture that I cannot safely transport in my personal vehicle, and I should not be expected to pay out of pocket to take a hazardous item to a landfill or junk yard due to a defect that existed on delivery. The table is still taking up significant space, cannot safely be kept indoors, and Wayfair has effectively abandoned responsibility for removing a hazardous product they shipped. A refund alone does not resolve a situation when the dangerous item remains with the customer for over a month. Extremely disappointed in both the product quality and the handling of a clear safety issue.
